    Shown vacationing at Pine Lake in the 1933 movie are several early Kalamazoo-area families: Ryder, Miller, Britton, Howson. There are other unrecognized people so other families may have been involved as well.

   The contributor and one year old in the video is Margaret Koykka Cowin, the daughter of Frederica Britton Koykka and Thomas Koykka, and they lived in Ohio. Her grandmother Jessie Miller Britton grew up in Plainwell (on a farm?)  and she may have taught school there.
