Richard "Dick" Michel
Dick,
a resident of Boniface Point passed away peacefully at his home at
Pine lake on June 18, 2014. Dick was born January 23, 1932 in
Roxborough, PA, the son of John Frances and Mildred Michel. Dick was
a loyal employee of the Plainwell Paper Mill and Weyerhauser Company
for over twenty years. Dick was a member of the North Park Reformed
Church, a member of Doster Reformed, and was CEO of the Kalamazoo
Gospel Mission for eight years. Music was Dick's passion. He sang
with the Philadelphia Opera Society, organized and directed the
"North Park Men of Song" for thirty three years, and directed
several choirs. On October 16, 1965, Dick married the love of his
life, the former Gwendolyn E. Batho who survives.
